Forest Medical Holter Monitoring Systems Selected for
Marfan Syndrome Clinical Trial
East Syracuse, NY, April 2nd, 2007 — Forest
Medical, LLC (www.forestmedical.com),
the value leader in Holter monitoring systems, today announced that
its Holter Monitoring Systems have been selected for a clinical
trial of the drugs Atenolol versus Losartan in individuals with
Marfan syndrome. Forest Medical will provide 100 Trillium 5000™
Holter Recorders and multiple installations of its Trillium
Platinum™ Holter Analysis Software to support 16 different research
sites for the trial which will be conducted by the Pediatric Heart
Network. The trial is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH),
National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute and will involve up to 600
participants who will each be followed for a period of three years.
The trial will study the growth of the aorta in participants taking
either Atenolol (a beta blocker) or Losartan (an angiotensin II
receptor blocker). Mr. Raymond Lichorobiec, the company’s Executive
